An Afropunk Sci Fantasy Setting
Swordsfall is an afropunk sci fantasy universe set on Tikor, a planet of ancient gods, future tech, living spirits, and nations still carrying the bruise of a war that ended ten years ago.
Most fantasy worlds ask Black readers to make do with the margins. Tikor starts somewhere else. The faces are Black and brown across the map. Women rule, fight, scheme, inherit, command fleets, and found countries. Spirits are family. Gods are political problems. Technology and magic share the same streets, sometimes politely.
The heart of the setting is Welcome to Tikor, the full-color setting and art book. It introduces the regions, cultures, pantheons, and old wounds that shape the rest of the line.
The Year 10 A.R.
Mime, the Garuda deity of Wisdom, was assassinated at the hands of an alleged Vinyatian killer. Mortal hands had never slain a deity before. Garuda and Vinyata bled for it, and the truce that ended the war did not put the world back the way it was.
Now rumors of Grim Arms are spreading. In Garuda, Amma Zencora clings to a stolen throne. In Vinyata, the destroyed Eastern Node is being rebuilt while angry dead things move through the sand. On the Grand Divide, Nubia's fleet has grown large enough that even the landlocked nations have started paying attention.
Tikor keeps turning. Nobody said it had to turn quietly.
