While Vinyata is known as the home of the Dracon, they aren’t the only ones that call it home. Or rather, trying to find their home. For the Lucomi, it’s an unending search for their lost grand city, Efai. With each generation, they gain more clues, becoming closer to finding their home.
The Orisha and Efai
The origins of the Lucomi begin with a simple tale passed down over the eons as parents tell it to their children. The Divine Entity Oludamare had begun to grow tired of his journeys throughout the cosmos. Eventually, his travels brought Oludamare to a peculiar planet ripe with opportunity: Tikor. The first of his creations would be powerful emissaries and deities, the Orisha — his children that would act as his messengers on Tikor.
The Orisha then crafted an immense city of splendor and wonder, a city of perfection: Efai. In this mammoth city, the Lucomi and the Orisha lived together as the deities taught the humans about the world — about how to attain a level of spiritual ascension that might allow them to become an Orisha one day.
Then, around 1 D.W., something happened in Efai. The first generation of Lucomi beyond the city describe waking up in the sands of Vinyata with Efai in the distance. And then it simply disappeared as if it never existed. For many, the change had been instantaneous. One moment the Lucomi were going about their lives, and the next, they were standing in the harsh sands of Vinyata. Their city was gone. The Orisha were gone with it.
The Lucomi have been searching ever since.
