Ryuujin is the great dragon of Tikor — a being born of Adume, the second sun, in the aftermath of Ishvana and Xavian’s first confrontation. Unlike the Wretched Ones that spill from Adume’s shadow, Ryuujin was something else: a singular mind, vast and patient, whose work would one day give the desert of Vinyata the domed cities that keep it alive.
Ryuujin fathered the Dracon, the Web-builders — the people who braided steel and hekan into the Domed Nodes that let Vinyata survive Adume’s gaze. The Dracon call him ancestor. The Karu and See’er call him rival. The Lucomi, who wander the Outskirts, call him by older names.
