Vinyata lives under the wrong sun.
Adume — the second sun, the stolen sun, built from Xavian’s corruption and the captured spirits of Tikor’s birth — hangs over Vinyata at all times. It gives the desert its radiant heat, its eerie half-light, and its name. For the Dracon, the desert’s dominant culture, surviving Adume is a point of pride. Their ancestor is Ryuujin, a former Wretched One born of Adume itself.
The Dracon answered the desert with the Web — a megastructure of sixteen domed city Nodes connected by hypertrains and arranged across Vinyata like a crown, with the capital city of Ishward at the center. Twelve Nodes still stand. Four were lost.
Beyond the Web, in the burning Outskirts and the Shifting Sands, the Lucomi search for their vanished city of Efai, and the Wanderers cross a loop around Tikor that no one else has ever mapped.
