The Kingdom of Ramnos

For most of its history, the rest of Tikor didn't know Ramnos existed.

For most of its history, the rest of Tikor didn’t know Ramnos existed.

The kingdom sits between two of the deadliest places in the southern hemisphere: the poisoned Ebon Cascade to the east and the endless Shifting Sands of Vinyata to the west. Natural borders on every side — the chasm of Twilight’s Edge, the Amun Dunes, the Isfet Mountains — plus the Walls of Ptah, 6,000 miles of reinforced fortification, keep the nation private by geography and by choice. The Dracon didn’t even learn Ramnos existed until 1,200 D.A.

The Mali-Kar made a home in that impossible place. They held it while two horrors pressed in from either side.

Then the coup came. King Matan Longisus took the crown by force, killing his young nephew Rasan. The nobles call him the False King behind his back. The people call him king. He’s opened the gates of Ptah, restored free trade, and authorized the Fifth Ebon Expedition — the first attempt in 900 years to walk into the Ebon Cascade and come back.
