Hawken is not a king. Hawken is a God-King — a Divine Entity who chose to rule a country himself, and built it to his taste.
Hawklore is the result. It sits east of Garuda, bordered by the dense Awodi Forest and the volcanic Ibirunga Mountains, its long Zaniban Coast studded with the finest beaches in the world. (Hawken will tell you so himself.) But the jewel of Hawklore is inland: the Blue Hollow, a massive Azurean deposit unlike any other on Tikor, and the economic engine of the nation.
Azurean can’t be touched by ordinary hands. Only Crystal Priests — those born with the Cobalt Mutation — can handle the ore, and the Children of Hawken are born with that mutation far more often than any other people on the planet. Two thousand years ago, Hawken planted a flag on a mineral the world wouldn’t value until now.
That is the level the God-King plays at.
