The See’er are a secretive culture nestled in the Adras Mountains of northern Garuda who focus on reading future events. They serve as a guiding hand of wisdom for Garuda and have become the true strength of the Divine Order of the Phoenix. The biggest heroes in all of Tikor, the Celestial Shields, are a profession created based on See’er customs and their deities, the Pangool.
The See’er differ from other Garudian cultures in that they were created by the Divine Entity Ro’og the Immense One, rather than Garuyda, the Great Phoenix. According to See’er lore, Ro’og breathed life into the See’er people to understand the cosmos and its secrets. To these people who believe in the cosmos, it’s not necessarily about where they were, so much as where they go.
The Rule of Three
The See’er people as a whole focus toward a single goal: the continual understanding of the past, present, and future. The Rule of Three is a recurring sentiment in See’er culture, a basic principle that life is balanced in threes. This principle appears in many walks of life and even in science — the Three Basic Elements, the Three Layers of Reality, the Three Steps of Magic. The See’er believe that numbers are a key component to and understanding life.
Within the See’er lies a secret society of extremely powerful diviners known as the Saltiguine. A diviner must be invited to join the Saltiguine, which keeps its numbers low on purpose. Only within this small elite handful of practitioners are the final secrets of the Great Cosmos discussed. It’s said that some of the knowledge is so harrowing that only the strongest among the See’er can stomach them.
