The Pangool

The Pangool are the enigmatic deities of the See’er, veiled in mystery and known for their cryptic guidance. Rooted in the culture’s ancient connection to the Etherforce, they are as much guardians of knowledge as they are keepers of cosmic balance. Their power is felt most keenly in the Sigil Temples, where whispers of the divine bridge the mortal and celestial worlds.

For centuries, the See’er have revered the Pangool as intermediaries between themselves and Ro’og, the Immense One. Each Pangool embodies a unique aspect of Ro’og’s teachings, guiding the See’er and protecting them from harm. Through the Pangool, the See’er have built a culture rich in spiritual and martial traditions, intertwining the mystical with the everyday.

Ancient and Ascended

The origins of the Pangool trace back to Ro’og, the distant and inscrutable creator deity of the See’er. They are divided into two categories:

  • Ancient Pangool — the original deities created by Ro’og, also referred to as the Blood Pangool. Powerful, primordial forces embodying cosmic truths.
  • Ascended Pangool — the spirits of deceased See’er heroes who have risen to divine status. Less powerful than their Ancient counterparts, but closer to the living and more frequently invoked.

The discovery of the Sigil Temples in the Outer Steppes marked a turning point in See’er history. These hidden sanctuaries, overgrown and forgotten for centuries, allow direct communion with the Ancient Pangool through Spirit Mediums — gifted individuals who temporarily house a fragment of a Pangool’s spirit to access their vast knowledge.
